December 2004 - Lights: LEDs rule

After ordering all sorts of things straight away, not really knowing what I wanted, I got to a point where I decided I wanted as little as possible breaking the lines and curves of the body. This included lights, bumpers, fuel filler and I even started plans for the side pipes...

So first off, the lights. LED's weren't widely used at the time but they seemed such a good idea. Fast acting, low power, virtually last for ever.. what else could you ask for. So since freight often is as much as the items I orrdered a couple of sets tp play with. To this day I still keep changinh my mind as to which I think would be better. Red melding into the paintwork or white/clear to give just a touch of contrast.

A small 'sports' style steering wheel.. Out of place..? How heavy will the steering be?!!

I am 185cm (6'1") and vary between 99 and 130 odd Kgs. Making room in the cockpit was a high priority for me. Oh well.. easy thing to change later.

Things hit a slowdown! :-(
