SlySi's Cobra

I have always liked the shape and had enquired a couple of times at Graham Berry Race Cars over the years as to costs.

Test drove a second hand one about 1998, looking at buying it, and it brought a grin to my face. And that was only a 289 and a fairly rough setup. While there was only $2,000 dollars or so between what I decided I would pay for it and what they wanted, it didn't happen.

In late 2003 I was offered a Graham Berry chassis and a few bits for around $3,500 I think and I was looking for something to distract me so thought why not. January saw some new things in the garage..

So I had a raw 9" case and head, a nice powder coated chassis and some old rotors and Jag shocks.

Went and saw Alexander of ALMAC and ordered a body. Ordered some rotors, Willwood calipers and QA1 shocks. Got the diff blasted and painted. The guy that did the dif wanted to show off this new paint he had so instead of straight black.. it sparkled! Heavy coloured Metal Flecks through it. Some might like it but not my cup of tea but thought it's under the car so is hardly seen.
